Wenita was proud to support Calder Stewart’s Coastal Classic again this year, as it celebrated its 21st year on November 3.
Wenita has been backing this race for many years, giving access to our Akatore Forest for the various events, and this year we became Silver Sponsors by sponsoring the 45km E-Bike Skyline Challenge.
This year’s Coastal Classic was a sell out with 545 people entered into the nine different events.
A handful of Wenita staff competed in this year’s event, including C3 Operations Manager Karen Heineman who wore Wenita colours in the tough 59.5km Gravel Bash Challenge. Everyone put in a great effort and pushed themselves to do their best.
This event is a Taieri Mouth community fundraiser, benefiting various Taieri Mouth initiatives, such as Taieri Mouth First Response, an AED located at the Holiday Campground and a new roof for the Taieri Beach School/Community Pool.
