The Southern Wood Council (SWC) Forestry Awards in May were a great platform for people’s achievements to be recognised by their peers.
Wenita had four people up for awards at the function held at Forsyth Barr Stadium in Dunedin on May 19, and a number also received national certificates – see list below. Wenita is very conscious of the importance of training and takes considerable satisfaction from seeing our people receive SWC awards and national certificates.
Wenita rewarded our contractors and staff who received a national certificate for the first time with a $250 Road Materials’ gift voucher. We are grateful to Road Materials for the 25% discount it provided, which further increases the value of the voucher.
Our congratulations go out to everyone who received national certificates in the past year. Also, a special mention to the four who were nominated for the SWC awards and successfully made it to the finals, and of course for Phil Jones for taking out first prize. Well done everyone!
