Some Wenita staff undertook Light Utility Vehicle training in March to give them the knowledge and practical skills to operate these vehicles safely.
This training has come in useful during the planting session and traversing recently established farm blocks.
4×4 driving
Selected Wenita staff are also undergoing 4×4 driving training. Some staff completed the course in July and August, with the rest due in September.
The aim is to ensure staff feel competent while driving on gravel roads throughout the forest and, should the need arise, to drive on or through more difficult terrain.
